License
Probability LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Basic Mode for personal, non-commercial digital wellbeing and productivity purposes.
How Basic Mode Works
Basic Mode works with Apple's built-in Screen Time feature to let you choose apps, app categories, and websites to limit during sessions you start. Depending on your settings and how iOS handles it, limited apps may be hidden, unavailable, grayed out, or shown behind a restricted screen while a session is active.
Your Responsibility
You are responsible for choosing appropriate restrictions and session lengths. Do not use Basic Mode in a way that prevents access to emergency services, critical work tools, medical tools, travel tools, authentication apps, or any app you may need urgently. Keep important emergency and account recovery options available outside Basic Mode.
Restore and Emergency Access
Basic Mode includes restore and emergency access features to help make restrictions reversible. Because restrictions ultimately depend on iOS and your device's state, we cannot guarantee that every restriction or restore action will happen instantly or perfectly in every circumstance.
Not Medical Advice
Basic Mode is a productivity and digital wellbeing utility. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent ADHD, addiction, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, or any other medical or mental health condition. If you need medical or mental health support, consult a qualified professional.
Subscriptions
Some Basic Mode features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through Apple and renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings under your Apple ID subscriptions.
- Free trials, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial ends.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Deleting the app does not automatically cancel an active subscription.
App Availability and Changes
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features. Apple may also change how Screen Time, permissions, or App Store subscriptions work in ways that affect Basic Mode.
Disclaimer
Basic Mode is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect restriction behavior, perfect restore behavior, or compatibility with every device, iOS version, app, website, or Screen Time configuration.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Probability LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Basic Mode, including missed notifications, delayed access, blocked apps, lost productivity, or reliance on restriction or restore behavior.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as Basic Mode evolves. Continued use of the app after updated terms are posted means you accept the updated terms.
